With today's forecast I decided to hike a shorter peak that doesn't go above treeline or have much for views. Mt. Tecumseh is 4,003 ft. tall and today's hike was 4.9 miles with 2,169 feet of overall elevation gain.
The weather was cold and very windy. The trees lessened the affects of the wind, but snow was still blowing around creating drifting conditions up high.
The summit temperature was 2 degrees with a windchill of -14. In the trees at the summit the wind was blowing an average of 10 mph with gusts to 15 mph. You could tell that without the coverage of the trees it would have been much faster
