Having been almost 4 months since I have been able to hike on a sunny day, with a great forecast for today I was heading somewhere with a view. I decided that today it would be North Twin Mtn with a plan to also hit South Twin Mtn. A tiring week leading up to the hike changed the plans to just North Twin as my body was too tired to comfortably do both peaks. But with views like this, it was still a great hike.
North Twin Mountain is 4,761 ft. tall and today's hike was 10.15 miles with 3,173 feet of overall elevation gain.
The weather was perfectly clear and sunny with temps near freezing on the summit and in the 40s down below. Wind was pretty calm making the hike quite comfortable.
