  • The view to the west
  • The view to the west
  • Looking back at Saddleback Mountain
  • Looking northeast over Saddleback Junior towards most of the other 4,000 footers in the area
  • Looking north from the summit
  • A wind farm can be seen in the haze off in the distance
  • Rangeley Lake with Mooselookmeguntic Lake behind it
  • The summit sign
  • The summit sign and Saddleback Mountain behind
  • Miles hanging out on his second summit sign of the day. The one is off by more than the last one claiming the summit is 18 feet shorter than the map says
  • Not wanting to fall over, Miles has moved to a more comfortable cairn
  • The ski area can be seen on the side of Saddleback
  • The view to the east shows shorter and fewer mountains
  • A recreation area on the southeastern flanks of Saddleback
  • Looking over Saddleback Junior to Mt. Abraham
  • Sugarloaf Mountain and Spaulding Mountain
  • Crocker Mountain and Mt. Redington. South Crocker is behind Redington
  • The trail in a small patch of trees heading back down from the peak
  • I found a small patch of Rhodora next to the trail in the trees
  • A helpful ladder at a large rock in the trail. Oddly, the hard climb just above it had no help
